From 6 pm to late. $5-$15 donation requested, sliding scale. Join us for a fundraiser for two people from different communities under attack by the racist criminal justice system. There will be food from 6-8 pm (there will be
meat, veggie, vegan and gluten-free options!) and entertainment starting
at 8 pm, including:

Carlos Montes is a long-time immigrant rights, anti-war and education rights activist in Los Angeles on trial on trumped up charges because of his political activism.
CeCe McDonald is a young African American transgender woman facing a “second degree murder” charge after an incident that began when she was violently attacked because of her gender and race.

Desde las 6 pm hasta muy noche! Pedimos donacion de $5-$15 (o mas!). Ven a una cena de tacos con musica y poesia para recaudar fondos para dos personas de diferentes comunidades que estan bajo ataque del sistema racista de justicia criminal. Habrá comida desde las 6 – 8 pm (opciones con carne, sin carne y sin gluten) y entretenimiento empezando a las 8 pm

Carlos Montes es un activista de largo plazo en Los Angeles en el movimiento por los derechos de los inmigrantes, el movimiento anti-guerra y el movimiento por la igualdad en educacion, que esta enfrentando cargos legales en su contra debido a su activismo politico.
CeCe McDonald es una mujer joven afro-americana transgenero que esta enfrentando un cargo de “asesinato del segundo grado” despues de un incidente que empezo cuando ella fue atacada violentamente por su genero y su raza.
Evento organizado por MIRAc y la Red de Apoyo para Jovenes Transgeneros (Trans Youth Support Network).
